Features of Natural Interest

Pitcairn, Henderson, Oeno and Ducie are globally important for a significant number of species, with endemic plants and animals, and large populations of breeding seabirds. Fifteen of Pitcairn Islands' 146 assessed species are endemic, and all are threatened. Henderson Island is designated a World Heritage Site because of its unique natural environment, but. unfortunately, this unique wildlife is severely threatened.
