Birds of prey migrating between Europe and Africa need lift from hills or warm ground to complete their journeys. Therefore they either travel around the eastern Mediterranean of cross at various narrow points, especially between Morocco and Gibraltar. Here they may be mobbed by gulls, some requiring rehabilitation by GOHNS.
