Features of Natural Interest

The natural environment of the Turks and Caicos Islands is internationally important for its rich biodiversity. Much still remains relatively pristine. It is this environment which attracts visitors. These visitors wish to enjoy the beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and wildlife-watching opportunities. The latter include bird-watching, whale watching, and close views of the endemic rock iguana.

From left: heather and pygmy blue butterfly, iguana, tropical dry forest, turks head cactus, rainbow boa, upside-down jellyfish, monkey fiddle, coral reef, osprey with fish.
