Introduction
Henderson is one of the world's least disturbed raised coral atolls. It measures 37 sq. km and rises to 30m above sea level. It has a unique assemblage of plant and animal species, including 9 endemic plants and 4 endemic landbirds. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1988.
