Pitcairn was inhabited by the Ancient Polynesians from about 1100 - 1300 ce. There is evidence of a trade network with the other Polynesian Islands, with a quarry site and the presence of stone tools. There are stone sculpture remains, and petroglyphs.
Part of the extensive collection of stone tools, in the Pitcairn Museum.
