The Mountain Chicken Recovery Programme is a partnership between Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Zoological Society of London, North of England Zoological Society Chester Zoo, Parken Zoo and the Governments of Montserrat and Dominica. To safeguard the species, mountain chickens are being bred in captivity, and are now being re-released in Montserrat. Some are fitted with radio transmitters, so that their progress can be followed. Updates about the project, and an informational poster and leaflet, are available to download from their website |
