In 1979, former Beatles producer Sir George Martin opened Air Studios Montserrat, which hosted a number of international recording artistes including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Police, Duran Duran, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Eric Clapton. Air Studios was damaged by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, and never re-opened. |
