A natural feature of Montserrat, with a cultural heritage, is the Runaway Ghaut (pronounced Gut). The ghauts are deep ravines which carry rainwater down from the mountains to the sea. Legend has it that, if you drink from the Runaway Ghaut, you will return to Montserrat.

If you drink the waters from this burn, to Montserrat you will return.
