Predation by rats, feral cats and dogs presents a severe threat to the survival of the galliwasp and other species. The majority of confirmed sightings have occurred outside Montserrat’s Centre Hills forest reserve, leaving the galliwasp increasingly vulnerable to habitat loss through ongoing housing developments.
