The overarching goal of Jersey’s Biodiversity Strategy is “To conserve and enhance biological diversity in Jersey and to contribute towards the conservation of global biodiversity when appropriate”. The Strategy, which was developed in consultation with approximately 30 people from relevant non-governmental organisations (NGOs), sets out the individual objectives for biodiversity conservation which allow the island to move towards this goal. The Strategy, which was published in 2000, can be seen here.
