There have been a number of recent conservation initiatives started in the Falkland Islands with the aim of restoring eroded and degraded habitats using locally sourced native seeds. One such project funded by the Darwin Initiative and led by Falklands Conservation aimed to improve restoration techniques through the production of revegetation protocols based on in-country research and to make large scale seed production in the Falklands viable.
