The Historic Dockyard Museum in Stanley contains many exhibits of social and maritime interest as well as displays of natural history and links with the Antarctic. Temporary exhibitions celebrate anniversaries and events happening in the Islands. The Museum also has a number of historic Listed outbuildings including the Smithy and Gearshed, the Radio and Telephone Exchange, Printing Office and Wash-house. These original buildings offer a glimpse into the life of the first settlers in Stanley in the late 1840s.
