Threats / Problems / Issues

Unregulated access to areas of the SBAs supporting valuable habitats and species is having a significant adverse impact through the trampling of rare and important plant species; disturbance of nesting birds and those birds resting during migration; as well as direct road kill of various protected species such as Screiber’s Fringe-fingered Lizard.

Activities such as fly-tipping can result in the disturbance or destruction of threatened plant and animal species.
