The turtle monitoring projects on both SBAs are vitally important. All nesting beaches are monitored by volunteers and members of the SBAA Environment Department on a daily basis. Conservation activities are based on the minimum disturbance approach and are consistent with the practices undertaken at  the major nesting beaches at Lara and Polis in the Republic of Cyprus.
