The Sanctuary of Apollo also lies in the WSBA and it was here that Apollo was worshipped as the god of the surrounding woodlands and protector of the city.

The Temple in the Sanctuary of Apollo was one of the major religious centres of Cyprus in antiquity.  Worship in this location started in the 8th century BC and continued until the 4th century AD.  Nowadays the Temple has been partly rebuilt.
