Overfishing has resulted in the underwater life of Cyprus being poorer than might be expected. Nonetheless, pockets of varied sealife including wrasse spp., octopus, seahorse, Grass Eel, Scorpion Fish and Moray Eel can be found. Systematic underwater surveys of the coastline in both SBAs would help determine the range of sealife present and help plan conservation strategies as necessary.
