Breeding birds at Episkopi cliff in the Akrotiri SBA include: European Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), Eleonora’s Falcon (Falco eleonorae) and Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus).

Eleonora’s Falcon (Falco eleonorae) is a specialist hunter of migrating birds, and so has a delayed breeding season in late summer.  The falcons nest colonially on coastal cliffs, laying up to 4 eggs.
