The Museum and Fort Hayes are worth visiting as they afford visitors insight into Ascension’s abundant heritage.  There are also many fantastic walks to do on the Island and a guide can be bought from the Conservation Office. Ascension is great for scuba diving and snorkelling with wrecks and a huge variety of marine life found in the waters surrounding the Island. Other sports on offer include fishing and golf. The infamous One Boat Golf Club even held the title of the “World’s Worst Golf Course” for a few years!

Additional information on activities and sights can be found on the Ascension Island Government What to See and What to Do pages. A guide can also be bought from the AIG Conservation Department, Heritage Museum and Obsidian Hotel.

One Boat golf course notorious as "the worst golf course in the world".
